Who I Am

I grew up just south of Wilkes-Barre, PA. In my youth, I enjoyed to hunt, fish, and sketch and I still do. In high school I discovered that computers stole my interest and I started to dabble with different operating systems and began to learn some programming languages.

I continued to pursue this interest at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA as a student of the Computer Science program. At King's I began to revisit my love for sketching and I also found a little program called 3D Studio Max which was installed on a computer in the lab. I played with this just as I dabbled with coding in high school and eventually I decided 3D Animation was the perfect field for me to study. My love for art and computers came together so fluidly in this field so I applied to the Rochester Institute of Technology and initiated my 3D Animation career by studying there for my MFA in 3D Animation. Within this curriculum I learned how to take on huge projects as well as how to structure my workflow in a pipeline so that making a film would be possible. I produced three short films while at RIT and also completed many other projects as an independent body and also as a group member. I have recently graduated from RIT and am now looking to start my future in 3D Production.

For the past 2 and a half years, I have worked at Brite Computers in Victor, NY where I have produced auto-stereoscopic 3D content in both prerendered and interactive forms. Projects I have worked on while at Brite include applications and advertisement spots for Intel, Xerox, Boeing, Lufthansa, and Durst.

This year I will be teaching full-time as a professor of 3D Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I will be teaching a wide variety of classes devoted to all aspects of 3D production.

In my free time I enjoy playing video games, reading, watching movies, and playing frisbee golf.

My previous films can be seen in part or in full on this site. They include "Confined", "The Keeper", and "Beetle Blasphemy". "Confined" is a film about a man and his routine. He has learned to accept routine as a means to comfort. "The Keeper" is a film about a man and his dealings with isolation and duty. The outside world is just a window pane away but he must not leave his responsibility. "Beetle Blasphemy" was my thesis film and is about a beetle who has a revelation and now believes to have a purpose to bring the Light to all who may not want it. His buddies, Sid and Arnie, now need to bring him back from this Light back to the real world.
